The most anti-Israel president in history enjoys a 79% support by Jews? BS...

This is another great post from Joshua Pundit. He provides a quick summary regarding the inflated Obama popularity polls.

This administration is not only intent on having his narcissistic mug in our face 24/7, but they're also intent on trying to convince all of us how awesome he is.

Greasing The Polls

Carl in Jerusalem and Jim over at Gateway are concerned about a recent poll showing that 79% of American Jews support Obama, arguably the most anti-Israel president in history.

And that 67% of American Catholics support Obama even though he is radically pro-abortion to the point he endorses infanticide.

Let's be polite and say I have my doubts about the numbers.

This poll was conducted by Gallup.

You'll remember that the good folks at Gallup predicted a 14% win for Prez Zero back in November of '08 - and they were only a mere ten points off. Also, they never release their mechanics, especially when it comes to the wording of questions or the party affiliations of respondants, and they now have Obama with a 67% approval rating. as opposed to Rasmussen at 54%, one of the lowest ever for a president only one hundred days into his first term.

Another bit of evidence that this poll is a tad bogus comes when you look at the number of Americans who consider the country to be on the wrong track. Qunnipiac's latest poll shows that 63% of Americans say the country is headed in the wrong direction. Even the crazies at Daily Kos have a poll that shows that number at 53%!

With those figures, do the numbers Gallup is reporting on Obama add up?

As I've pointed out before, what polls like this typically do is oversample Democrats, usually by at least 20% - and undersample Republicans and independents, who tend to lean conservative. And remember, Gallup recently said that Dems only enjoy a 7% advantage in the electorate. Which may not be at all true, if you listen to Rasmussen.

Does Obama still have significant support among lefty Jews and Catholics? Probably. But is it anything like the numbers Gallup is reporting?

Pull the handle...I think we can safely flush this one.

Hey Maimed Stream Media - Detach your lips and back away from the President

The numbers don't lie.

Here's the Rasmussen Tracking poll graph which indicates a deterioration in support for Obama. The Rasmussen data supports the following data from the Gallup poll.

The "most popular president" image is a concoction of the maimed, oops, main stream media. They just can't quite detach their lips from Obama's posterior. If you know what I mean.

EDITORIAL: Barack's in the basement

Obama is less popular than Nixon and Carter
By

President Obama's media cheerleaders are hailing how loved he is. But at the 100-day mark of his presidency, Mr. Obama is the second-least-popular president in 40 years.

According to Gallup's April survey, Americans have a lower approval of Mr. Obama at this point than all but one president since Gallup began tracking this in 1969. The only new president less popular was Bill Clinton, who got off to a notoriously bad start after trying to force homosexuals on the military and a federal raid in Waco, Texas, that killed 86. Mr. Obama's current approval rating of 56 percent is only one tick higher than the 55-percent approval Mr. Clinton had during those crises.

As the attached chart shows, five presidents rated higher than Mr. Obama after 100 days in office. Ronald Reagan topped the charts in April 1981 with 67 percent approval. Following the Gipper, in order of popularity, were: Jimmy Carter with 63 percent in 1977; George W. Bush with 62 percent in 2001; Richard Nixon with 61 percent in 1969; and George H.W. Bush with 58 percent in 1989.

It's no surprise the liberal media aren't anxious to point out that their darling is less popular than George W. Bush. But given the Gallup numbers, their hurrahs could be more subdued. USA Today's front page touted the April poll results as positive, with the headline: "Public thinks highly of Obama." The current cover of Newsweek magazine ponders "The Secret of His [Mr. Obama's] Success." The comparison with previous presidents is useful because they are usually popular during their first few months in office - and most presidents have been more popular than Mr. Obama.

The explanation for Mr. Obama's low approval is that he ran as a moderate but has governed from the far left. The fawning and self-deceiving press won't go there. On Sunday's "Meet the Press," host David Gregory asked a panel about critics who "would say one of the things that he's done in 100 days already is expand the role of government, the size of government." Historian Doris Kearns Goodwin claimed, "That's what he ran for the presidency in the first place for."
Perplexed about complaints over Mr. Obama's expansion of government, Newsweek editor Jon Meacham asked: "does no one listen during campaigns?"

It was these pundits who weren't paying attention during last year's campaign. In all three presidential debates, Mr. Obama promised to cut government spending and reduce the size of the deficit. He blamed the economic crisis on excessive deficits. At no time did candidate Barack Obama say that more deficit-spending was the solution.

Mr. Obama's popularity after 100 days is the second-lowest for a simple reason: He is more partisan and divisive than his predecessors - including Richard Nixon.

Obama To Visit 'American Idol? - If he does, he'll be the biggest "Attention Whore" of all time - if he's not already

I think it would be a horrible decision if Obama were to go on American Idol. However, it wouldn't surprise me if he does, because the immature misfits that manage him are intent on having his arrogant mug in our face 24/7. They know he'd be watched by millions of people, many just to see him on Idol.

I think the continued excessive media exposure of Obama will just alienate more and more people, as everyone is getting real tired of his "self-declared awesomeness" being force-fed to us every day.

We'll see what wins, common sense or his uncontrollable narcissistic ego.

The "American Idol" contestants have enough pressure dealing with the critiques of Randy, Kara, Paula and Simon – and if "Idol's" harshest judge gets his way, they'll be performing for President Obama.

"We would put out an invitation on a daily basis," Simon Cowell told The Hollywood Reporter about "Idol's" attempt to get the Commander in Chief to appear on the hit FOX show.

"I'd love him to come on, his wife to come on, kids to come on." Simon said of the First Family. "I could only picture now what it would be like if he actually turned up."

Adding, "He's a rock star!"

In the meantime, "Idol's" final four will be graced by the presence of another rock star, when Slash mentors the contestants next week.
