MUST READ: Mr. President, what is wrong with American values?

from Don Surber

The Leader of the Free World should be pushing Free Speech, Freedom of Religion, Equality. Liberty, Truth, Justice and above all: The American Way.

President Obama to the BBC: “The danger is when any country thinks it can impose values on another country.”

No, President Obama is wrong. Dead wrong.

American values of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are the values that every nation on Earth should have because they are the rights of all men, endowed upon them by their Creator.

All men are created equal.

America must stand tall against the despots of Libya, Saudi Arabia and Venezuela.

Jack Kennedy understood this:

We dare not forget today that we are the heirs of that first revolution. Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans — born in this century, tempered by war, disciplined by a hard and bitter peace, proud of our ancient heritage — and unwilling to witness or permit the slow undoing of those human rights to which this Nation has always been committed, and to which we are committed today at home and around the world.

Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty.

This much we pledge — and more.

Jack Kennedy knew well the price that is paid when America does not stand tall for its values. His father was an isolationist. Kennedy saw the price paid by his comrades, who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Including his brother.

The danger is not in imposing our values. The danger is doing nothing.

As President Obama prepares to lay wreaths and bedazzle the masses with yet another of his hollow speeches, let him take the time to read up and discover just what those American values are that he is too sheepish to impose upon others.

If only he engaged evil with the same zest shown in ridiculing his opposition.

The story is here.
