By the powers vested in me, as a committee of one, I do hereby award the crown of Miss Conservative USA 2009 to Carrie Prejean for not only looking good but for thinking for herself, instead of going along to get along with the politically correct crowd.
Because that is what it boils down to: Thinking for oneself.
She is taking heat for standing up to gay marriage. That is her belief, based on her 21 years of life.
A pageant judge, Perez Hilton, asked her the question about gay marriage and then got mad at her answer. He later cursed her on national television.
