In addition, you can't be anymore intellectually dishonest than when he said, "I may have mentioned during the discussion we were having that Harry Truman was a war criminal." There was no 'may,' he said it. Just listen to the tape. Who are you going to believe, his apology or your lying eyes and ears when you watch the video?
Personally, I think he meant it when he said Truman was a war criminal. I believe that the only reason he came forth with an apology was due to the outrage by viewers and some in the mainstream media.

"The other night we had on Cliff May. He was on, we were discussing torture, back and forth, very spirited discussion, very enjoyable. And I may have mentioned during the discussion we were having that Harry Truman was a war criminal. And right after saying it, I thought to myself that was dumb. And it was dumb. Stupid in fact."

Wow, your sense of humor is seriously lacking. He knows what he said, he was just trying to make his apology a tad less of a buzz kill by injecting humor. That's his job.
